Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EncryptWatch (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and tools.

1. Data you enter into tools

Many of our tools are labeled “Runs in browser.” For these tools, all processing happens locally on your device. Any text, passwords, keys, or files you provide are not sent to our servers or any third party. When you close or refresh the page, that data is gone.

Some tools (clearly labeled as online checks) require a server to perform live network lookups. For those, the specific input you submit — such as a domain name or URL — is processed to return a result. We do not use this input to identify you and we do not sell it.

2. Cookies and advertising

We use advertising to keep EncryptWatch free. We plan to use Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

3. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.

4. Local storage

Some tools may use your browser’s local storage to remember preferences (such as options you last selected). This information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

5. Children’s privacy

EncryptWatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
