What this tool does
This generator renders a scannable barcode from the value you enter, in several common formats, and lets you download it as a PNG for labels, products and inventory. Everything is generated in your browser.
Choosing a format
- CODE128 — flexible; encodes letters, numbers and symbols. Good default.
- EAN-13 / UPC-A — retail product barcodes (numbers only, fixed length).
- CODE39 — older standard used in logistics and ID.
- ITF-14 — shipping/carton codes.
Tips
- Numeric formats require an exact digit count; an error message tells you if the value doesn't fit.
- Print barcodes large enough and with good contrast so scanners read them reliably.
