What this tool does
This converter turns spreadsheet-style CSV data into a JSON array of objects, and turns a JSON array back into CSV. The first CSV row is treated as the header, becoming the keys in each JSON object. It is handy for moving data between spreadsheets, APIs and code.
Example
The CSV name,age / Ada,36 becomes [{"name":"Ada","age":"36"}]. Converting that JSON back to CSV restores the header row and values.
Features
- Supports comma, semicolon, tab and pipe delimiters.
- Handles quoted fields that contain commas, quotes or line breaks.
- Pretty-prints the JSON output for readability.
Limitations
- CSV values are read as strings; numeric typing is not inferred automatically.
- JSON input for CSV conversion should be an array of flat objects. Deeply nested objects are stringified.
