What this tool does
JSON and XML are both used to exchange structured data between systems. This converter turns a JSON object into equivalent XML, and parses XML back into JSON, so you can move data between APIs and older XML-based services.
Example
{"note":{"to":"Ada","body":"Hi"}} becomes XML with a <note> element containing <to> and <body>. Converting that XML back returns the original JSON shape.
How it maps
- JSON object keys become XML element names.
- Arrays become repeated elements with the same name.
- When converting XML to JSON, attributes are stored with an
@prefix and text as#text.
Limitations
- XML and JSON don't map perfectly — attributes, mixed content and namespaces may need manual tidying.
- Element names must be valid XML identifiers when converting from JSON.
