What this tool does
This diff checker compares two pieces of text line by line and shows which lines were added, removed, or left unchanged. It is useful for reviewing edits to documents, configuration files, code snippets, terms of service, or any two versions of text.
How to read the result
- Green lines were added in the changed text.
- Red struck-through lines were removed from the original.
- Plain lines are unchanged.
Example
If the original says color: blue and the changed version says color: green, the tool shows the blue line as removed and the green line as added.
Limitations
- Comparison is line-based, so a small change within a long line is shown as the whole line being replaced.
- Very large inputs (tens of thousands of lines) may be slow because the algorithm compares every line.
Privacy: Both texts are compared in your browser and never uploaded — safe for sensitive documents.
